Charcohol
is a sleek new gastrolounge helmed by award-winning mixologist Cross Yu
and celebrated chef Mandela Zhu. It’s located at Fengshengli (the complex where Taco Bell is on Maoming Lu), and has a massive outdoor area that’s family friendly as well as dog-friendly.
They just launched brunch—¥168 for two courses. Brunchy cocktails and mocktails also available.
Drink deal: ¥188 for two hours of free-flow prosecco (not champagne).
Pandan Toastie with Isigny butter
Classic Eggs Benedict with mushrooms and spinach on a croissant - add ¥28 for house-smoked salmon.
Rougie Duck Contfit with pickled cucumbers, fried potatoes, and sake egg.

Mayita

Mayita is a family-friendly Mexican mainstay by the same people behind Maya. It’s located on the sixth floor of Silver Court service apartments, an odd location you might think, but it does have a spacious outdoor terrace. The menu is not much different to the one at Maya—tacos and it has a handful of vegetarian options.
Drink deal: Free-flow sangria for ¥150, free-flow margaritas for ¥185. No time limit—runs from 11am-4pm.
Maya Chilli-Maple Salmon (¥68) - Mushroom, spinach bread pudding with walnut cream over poached egg and cured salmon.
Chicken Mushroom Enfrijoladas (¥95) - Enchiladas covered in creamy black bean sauce topped with chorizo and sour cream.
Tacos! Five tacos from ¥25 to 32, or get three for ¥75.

The Bull & Claw

The Bull & Claw's M.O. is steaks and lobsters. The brunch is popular citywide. It takes residence in a beautiful three-story house on Fenyang Lu with plenty of outdoor seating (dog-friendly) and more covered terrace space on the second floor. Brunch is busy—best to book ahead.

Co. Cheese is a purveyor of grilled cheese sandwiches, Bloody Caesars, and picklebacks. It's a cozy neighborhood spot that's easy-going and dog-friendly. The new location on Nanchang Lu is much more spacious than the original on Yuyuan Lu, and it now serves a brunch menu of egg-laden sammies and one crazy looking pizza-cheesesteak roll.
Brunch stuff ranges from ¥75 to ¥100. Served as a melt on three pieces of San Francisco sourdough or two pieces on toasted English muffin. One side included with each brunch order, ¥35 per extra side. Brunch is all-day Saturday and Sunday.
Drink Deal: ¥200 for free-flow mimosas, Bloody Caesars, Asahi draft, house wine, well pours, and soft drinks from 12-3pm.
Bloody Caesar Fully Loaded (¥70) - Garnished with pickles, cheese-stuffed olives and cheddar, and house maple honey bacon.
Caesar Salad - house-made bacon, lettuce, and Parmesan chips with a punchy anchovy-garlic and pepperoncini juice dressing.
Hunanese Breakfast (¥80) - Spicy Hunanese pork belly with blistered green chilies on an English muffin with egg and mozzarella. Served with a side salad and roasted taters.
This behemoth — Co. Joe. Philly Taco (¥100) - It’s a half Philly cheesesteak wrapped up in a slice of Joe’s pepperoni pizza.
